GSA Joint Section Meeting 2017 – K-12 Teacher Weekend

As an international scientific society, The Geological Society of America (GSA) serves members in academia, government, and industry around the world. GSA is dedicated to increasing the appreciation of Earth's history, processes, and resources through earth-science education. Recognizing that the future of geology rests in the hands of our nations' school teachers is the fundamental building block of the GeoTeachers program.

The Northeastern and North-Central Sections of the Geological Society of America will be combining their regional spring meetings for a Joint Conference to be held in Pittsburgh, PA, in March 2017. K-12 Teacher Weekend will be held March 18-19 of the conference.

Teachers must register for the NE/NC GSA conference in order to be able to attend these events. Early registration deadline: February 13, 2017. Online registration begins December 2016.
